Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Modest POS! This guide will help you set up your point of sale in minutes.

1. Create your account

Head over to the Signup page to register your business. All you need is your email address and business name. No credit card is required for the 5-day free trial.

2. Build your menu

Go to the My Menu page in the dashboard. Add your products with a name, SKU, and price — manually or via CSV import. Enable stock tracking for products you want to monitor. You can also configure your Fallback Config to set backup cross-sell recommendations.

3. Set up the Cashier Screen

Go to Cashier Tokens in the dashboard. Create a token for each cashier and share the link. They can start using the POS screen immediately — no login required. Works online and offline (offline sales queue and sync when connectivity returns).

4. Optional: Self-Service Kiosk

Go to Client Screen to generate a kiosk link. Open it on a tablet — customers browse your menu and place orders themselves. They get a ticket code, and you process payment at the cashier. This is a Pro feature.
